What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
I love being part of something bigger than myself. I enjoy getting to help others in any way possible as well! Being a support staff member is something I find so purposeful because of how many ways you can give to the team! Every day I look forward to the new opportunities to which I can help out the companies in my role.
What do you do at our company?
I do a lot of things throughout the various companies. I assist with Board and Committee Meetings. I help with conference and travel needs. As well as getting to help out with other supportive staff duties.
What is something people don’t know about you?
I had major brain surgery in May of 2023.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” – Albus Dumbledore
What is something on your Bucket List?
It has always been a dream of mine to see the Northern Lights. Visiting the Aurora Borealis Observatory on Senja Island, Norway during March or early April is the top thing on my bucket list.
What was your childhood dream job?
I wanted to be a neurophysiologist.
What is one random fact about you?
I am a huge Harry Potter buff and I am a DIE HARD CRIMSON TIDE fan!
Who is on your Mount Rushmore of musical acts?
Me, myself and I. Mainly, while driving or cleaning around the house, alone, because no one should be subjected to that kind of torture! Haha!
What hobbies do you enjoy?
Reading, running, and spending time with my family. I am a bookworm at heart. I would spend all day reading IF I could pick the book I wanted and was still paid to do so. I love to run! This is a hobby that began about 8 years ago and has blossomed into an obsession. I have two sisters that live in town. My younger sister just welcomed her child, a boy, into the world!
Other than Nebraska, have you lived elsewhere? If so, where, and what brought you to Nebraska.
I was born in Orlando, FL. My parents moved back to Denver, CO six months after I was born so they could be closer to their families for help with the children. Then, my parents decided moved to Nebraska in 1999 to get out of the big city.
