Filament Essential Services Teams with Downtown Lincoln Association to bring American Red Cross for “Give Big Red” Blood Drive
On Friday, June 2, Filament Essential Services and the Downtown Lincoln Association are joining together to host “Give Big Red,” bringing the American Red Cross to downtown Lincoln for a community blood drive. Give Big Red is open to all eligible donors from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 13th & O Street.
Filament participates in a variety of local philanthropic efforts and has hosted multiple blood drives in previous years. With an evolving office landscape that now includes WFH and hybrid models, Filament sought a partner to continue offering downtown Lincolnites a convenient opportunity to donate blood.
“The donation of blood is a life-saving gift for people right in the Lincoln community,” said C J Thoma, Filament President and CEO. “By partnering with DLA, we can extend our drive to all of the downtown area and make a real impact.”
Several participating downtown businesses are giving day-of-give donors discounts for showing their blood donor stickers. Donors will also receive a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice and can enter to win a $100 Downtown Lincoln gift card.
